Easter at Warburton

ORGANISERS are gearing up for the biggest and best Easter Family Fun Day and Easter Concert in Warburton.
The family event will begin at noon on Saturday 23 April at the Warburton Caravan Park and will raise money for Ted Chisholm’s River Crew, the Warburton CFA, the Upper Yarra SES and the Warburton RSL.
There will be plenty of family activities on the day including a lunchtime sausage sizzle, hot cross buns, a special appearance by the Easter Bunny, kids’ games and a great selection of music.
The impressive ilk of musicians will perform on the day including the Dawgone Trio, Backtrax and Yarra River Banned.
Organiser and guitarist John Seegers said with the development of the Warburton Caravan Park up in the air, organisers aren’t sure whether the event would be able to run next year.
“So we’re going to make this the best ever and want everyone to come and support it,” he said.
“This will be the biggest single fundraiser we’ve ever had and these groups do so much for us.”
Mr Seegers said the Warburton Caravan Park had always had an annual event to raise money for the Warburton CFA.
“And this year we’re aiming for a big amount to share around.”
The party will be in full swing from 11am to 5pm at the Warburton Caravan Park on Easter Saturday.
