Cuba calling for new year

The Robbie Williams Show will be performing to the crowd at the Club Cuba New Year''s Eve Festival.

AN EXOTIC start to the new year filled with Cuban jazz is on the cards for those attending Club Cuba New Year’s Eve Festival among Rochford Winery’s vineyards later this month.
The Club Cuba event will be held at the Healesville venue from 6pm on 31 December through to 1am on 1 January, with a range of performers keeping crowds entertained and helping to ring in the new year.
The Robbie Williams Show will headline the festival and will be followed by Louie and the Party Boys, who will help to finish the evening on the main stage.
A house remix tent will feature percussion, bongos, sax and singers alongside DJs who will play throughout the event, providing a unique experience to finish off the year.
There will be three stages in total at the Club Cuba event, with vineyard floor shows, samasita dancers, dance lessons and commercial house music to accompany the Cuban and Latin sounds filling the night air.
A laser show will be held as 2013 draws to a close and the new year begins.
Entrance to the Club Cuba New Year’s Eve Festival costs $65, or $135 for the Club Cuba Spit Pig Ticket, which includes a two-course meal and a glass of sparkling wine in the restaurant.
Visitors are allowed to bring their own picnic, though there is strictly no BYO to the event.
