More time on pool

EXTRA research time has been given as the reason for a delayed council report on a new aquatics centre for Healesville.
The Mail reported last week (5 August) that a feasibility study on a new aquatics facility in the area is due to come up at a council meeting later this month, or in early September.
However, the report had been expected to appear in April, and the Mail received no response when the Yarra Ranges Council was asked why the report had been delayed.
On Tuesday, 5 August, a spokesperson for the council responded: “… that project needed a significant development proposal that has required extensive research and evaluation, hence the timeline.”
