HEALESVILLE’S Senior Citizens celebrated a milestone birthday recently, reflecting on five decades of friendship, activities and community connections.
The group had a birthday luncheon on Tuesday, 15 July to mark 50 years since the Senior Citizens Hall opened, and 68 community and group members gathered to commemmorate the occasion.
Built by the Healesville Lions Club in 1964, the hall was completed in July, but officially opened in November.
Secretary, Ken Fewster, said the event was a great celebration of the group, who had grown in recent years and formed close friendships with one another.
