STUDENTS from Upper Yarra Secondary College have baked their way to help the RSPCA.
The intermediate VCAL class decorated 160 incredibly delicious vanilla cupcakes that were sold to staff and students during lunchtime on 18 August.
Through donations, a raffle and the selling of cupcakes, the students raised over $200 to help fight against animal cruelty.
UYSC VCAL course co-ordinator, Denise Muir said the class was pleased that they could raise and donate money to such a worthy cause.
“The students enjoyed the hands-on aspect of the task, especially decorating the cakes,” Ms Muir said.
This event was an integral part of the VCAL course and it was the students’ choice of organisation to fund-raise for.
