IF YOU love art, then you need to come down to The Memo in Healesville on 24 October.
Jayden Morrison is taking part in an independent research project at Little Yarra Steiner School, in place of the Year 12 VCE course.
His project is focused on art and will be shown in the billiards room at The Memo in Healesville from 24 October to 12 November.
‘Untitled’ is an exhibition showcasing different responses in a space not usually used for exhibitions.
“Untitled is interesting as a theme because it is so diverse, artists can approach it and read into it from all different perspectives, and the responses,” Jayden said.
To complete his project, he was required to pick a mentor and specialist in the field to guide him through.
He decided to collaborate with 13 other artists both locally and nationally renowned including Nicholas Mellefont, Mim Kocher and more.
Jayden chose art because it was something that he had always wanted to do.
“Actually, I’ve always loved art,” he said.
The independent research is aimed at allowing the student to explore something in depth that they are passionate about.
Over the past year, Jayden said this had been a really good experience.
“I’m really looking forward to showing the community what I have done,” he said.
