POLICE are searching for a man acting suspiciously around Healesville, allegedly approaching homeowners to conduct firearms inspections.
Crime Stoppers Victoria announced on Friday 27 May that police were searching for a man who visited a Healesville-Yarra Glen Road property in Healesville, about 4pm on Saturday 19 March.
When the man requested to conduct a firearms inspection, the occupant asked the man for identification, which he refused.
He then left the area.
Police released an image of the man, who is believed to be between 30-40 years old, about 196cm tall, with a medium build, brown eyes and short black hair.
On the day of his visit to the Healesville property, he was clean shaven and wore sunglasses on his head, and was driving a large black late-model sedan.
